What is 95-E1O?
Ethanol is basically just alcohol, and is pretty much pollution free however the downside is ethanol is highly corrosive. E10 has been gradually distributed across stations in France since 1 April 2009, and which the French government has admitted is incompatible with 40 per cent of vehicles on the road. The petrol's introduction follows an EU directive relating to the quality of fuels which states that all petrol must include between 5 and 10 per cent of ethanol by 2013.

Well no vehicle registered before 2000 can use the new fuel whilst many post 2000 vehicles can
but not all. The only way to find out is to check your hand book, contact your main dealer or

Potential problems include engine knocking, fuel system deposits being stripped away causing fuel filter blockages, perishing of the elastomeric and plastic materials in the fuel system on older vehicles, increased evaporative emissions from vehicles' fuel systems and increased emissions from exhaust.
The fuel is being introduced following an EU Directive aimed at reducing carbon emissions and is causing havoc with UK motorists abroad.
